TUC Charity Carnival Day

I know my blog as been quite dead for the pass few days, even Jasmine says my blog is dying. Lolz. Anyway, I'm back!

Before I start, I wanna introduce this bastard heng dai that is competing with me to take pictures and blog. I also just realised that he banged me quite alot in his blog. Revenge is sweet *Muahahahaha*. With his new handphone, he seems to be enjoying the 2 mega pixel only camera. Oh ya, in addition to that, this was the other CocoBanana-er who won the other Sony W910i. Cheers!

Update your blog more frequently la!

Evidence of competition

Today was also the Charity Carnival in Taylors. It was really really happening + crowded + noisy + enjoyable. Most of the classes set up a booth to raise funds for charity. Sadly my beloved class G3 did not do anything. Lolz. At about 10am, I joined Melvin, Saachi and Chris for Scaventure Hunt. Sadly we were too slow, but it was great fun =). Anyway, picture!

People...

... and more people

Scaventure Hunters

At about 11am, Sheng, ChunShiun, KaiXin, YeunYi, JJ, LeongWai, Eilene, ChinYuen and myself walked to Neway to sing K. So charitable of us rite? xD. When we reached there, Eilene and ChinYuen decided not to sing coz they only had 1hour to spare. The rest continued to sing. I went back for class at around 1pm. I promised to LET Sheng blog about this karaoke outing, so do check his blog for updates, that is IF he ever do update =)

Thats all for now. Olympics opening ceremony in 2 days time! Haha. Bye all!

MCKL Treasure Hunt

First and foremorst, with the utmost sincerity from the bottom of my heart, I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to all those who helped us in the hunt, especially YeeEng and SuetYee, not forgetting my partner TerngSheng, and many many more. Without any of you, we wouldn't have won. Therefore it was't CocoBanana who won, but ALL OF US. Thanks again!

Finally, a day long awaited has finally arrived. It is none other the the 5th Annual MCKL Treasure Hunt!! Since a week before the event, Sheng and I have been planning a movie outing after TH, and also transport and talking non-stop about it. Indeed it is lots of fun worth looking forward to.

A little recap of what happened last year, Sheng and I went with the group name "Shinigami". Sadly we didn't win anything, but we sure gained lots of fun. WeiHan and SzeJian went with the group name "Kame-kame-ha" (not sure how to spell) and won 2nd prize for category 2. They won cameras last year with a whole lot of miscellaneous items which they shared with us.

This year, Sheng and I decided to make a comeback with the name "KokoBanana" which is pronounced as 'kor-kor banana', but something somewhere went wrong and we were registered as "CocoBanana". WeiHan and SzeJian also took part with the name "Bumble-Lees". Of coz there are other good friends who joined too, whose group names I cant remember. As usual, a few of us 'pakat-ed' and worked together to save man power and time, and also to increase accuracy of answers. Our group consist of Robin, HannJiunn, YeeEng, SuetYee, YeunYi, KiatJin, WaiShan, MayLing, WeiHoong, ChuanHan.

Early in the morning, we were all set and ready. Waited for Uncle Chong to send us to LRT station at 6.30am. Even though he came late, we still reached MCKL in time. Tks Uncle Chong for the lift! Also not forgetting that today is Quinnie's birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUINNIE!

As usual it started off with the opening ceremony and a performance by MCKL Cheerleaders. SuetYee is a cheerleader!

Opening Ceremony

GO SUET YEE!!

A shot I took without some of them knowing =)

Okay, now to the main story. Our college category (category 3) flagged off at 8.50am sharp. Everyone was practically rushing out from MCKL's gate. Sheng and I decided to just take our time and go slow. CocoBanana left the gate 2nd from behind! We walked to KL Sentral at a super slow pace. We even wanted to stop and eat breakfast. Lolz!

In KL Sentral, we kinda rushed abit to get the answers. This 1st stop wasn't that hard. Then we met up with YeeEng and SuetYee, whom we travelled with together through out the whole journey.

KLCC stop was quite hard. Sheng and I took 2 directories and sat in the food court for almost 10mins. Surprisingly we managed to answer 4 questions just based on the directory. After here, we really relied alot on our group of friends. Later on in TimesSquare, we went to buy movie tickets instead. LOLz!!

The summary of the trail is MCKL (Start) > KL Sentral > KLCC indoors > KLCC park > Bukit Nanas > Lot 10 > Bintang Walk > Times Square > Tun Sambanthan > Malaysian Association For The Blind (MAB) > MCKL (End)

Few of us, tired and worned out

After lunch, it was lucky draw. WeiHan got lucky and brough home a Spalding basketball. Then, it was the loooooong awaited prize giving ceremony. During prize giving for category 3, we were all on our knees, had our fingers crossed, hoping badly to win. WeiHoong and ChuanHan got consolation prize. They each got a Kingston 2GB pendrive. That really raised our hopes on getting the top 3 prizes. But the 3rd place was won by some other people. So all of us were really really tensed as there were only 2 more.

Then the emcees announced: "And 2nd place goes to group...... BUMBLE-LEEs!!" WeiHan and SzeJian were so happy. Of coz we were all happy for them too. 2nd consecutive year to win. They each won an Ipod Nano 4GB, Spalding bag, Cosmo World Theme Park tickets, and Spalding Tshirt. Total worth of RM2000++

2nd place prizes

Just when all hopes were almost gone, it was finally time for the last prize, the 1st place, and the emcee announced: "Finally, the 1st place of category 3 goes to group... COCOBANANA!!" We were all stunt with overwhelming joy. Sheng and I jumped up and went on stage to receive our prize. We each won Sony Erricson W910i, Spalding basketball, Cosmo World Theme Park ticket, Morgan watch, and a Spalding Tshirt. Total worth of RM3000++

1st place prize

COCOBANANA & BUMBLE-LEES

Our prizes!

Of coz, we shared out all the prizes since everyone contributed to the wins. We only took the handphones and ipods, the rest where for everyone to share. To be honest I feel really guilty to win. Sheng and I felt the same. With the help of everyone, we won, but not everyone is acknowledged. So I'd like to take this opportunity to say sorry to all. I really think we are all winners. And lastly, a group photo after the closing ceremony. Sheng, SzeJian, KiatJin, YeunYi, WaiShan, WeiHoong and myself went to TimesSquare to watch The Dark Knight! Great show. 9/10.

Top: VinShern, Robin, HannJiunn, ChuanHan
Middle: SzeJian, KokMun, WeiHoong, YeeEng, WaiShan, MayLing, SuetYee
Bottom: JiaHui, TerngSheng, WeiHan

Robin wasn't too happy he didn't win. In fact he was really disappointed. He made a statement that I must quote, "don't get too happy, next year's phone models will be better than yours de!" We were all like.. "ok enough Robin, just drop it." Haha

Similar version of MCKL TH can be read on Sheng's blog also. (CLICK HERE)

Overall the treasure hunt was great. Got to spend quality time with friends, enjoy, exercise, learn and experience things beyond text books. I really learnt that friends are more than important in life. Together friends can do wonders. As I mentioned to Sheng "we have gained a deeper friendship bond with our gang of friends, but gained more enemies on the other hand." LOLz!! My sister also told me that TH requires abit of luck. Well I got to agree, but I'd prefer to change "luck" to "God's Blessings". Really have to thank God for everything that happened today, a day to remember forever.

Noble House

Note: Noble house is a restaurant. Not a house full of noble people.

2 days ago, we went to Noble House for my mum's birthday dinner. There isn't much to talk about, its the usual dinner talks and laughter. Nevertheless the food in Noble House is just too good to not talk about. Some pictures below are taken only after the food has been half eaten, but you'll can still picture the full dish, can't you?

Roasted Pork (Siew Yoke)

Deep fried brinjal with chicken floss

Deep fried crispy fish skin

Pekking Duck

Pekking Duck Skin wrapped in popiah-skin-like-thing

Pekking Duck meat cooked into delicious mee

Deep fried salty egg yoke prawns

Lotus-banana pancake

Thats about all for food. Of coz there was Secret Recipe Durian Cake, which I forgot to take picture of. Sorry! The cake was darn good though. I think I'm a few kg fatter now. HAHA! Until I blog again, tata!

Massive Case In Subang SS14

Note: I'm writing this post based on what I've seen, heard, and think. We shall wait for newspapers tomorrow for the twisted facts and hidden truth k?

In case you are wondering where is SS14, its some where really really near Taylor's College (SS15). In fact just a main road apart, less than 10mins walk.

It was around 4.10pm when me, my sister and CheaYing were walking to the car, and saw a massive crowd and jam on the opposite road. So, as keh po curious as I am, I ran up the overhead bridge to get a birds eye view and pictures of what was happening.

Initially I just selumber took a photo for fun. But when I noticed the word "Forensik" on the mini police van, I thought in my mind "MASSIVE CASE ALREADY". So I quickly asked an uncle nearby what happened, but he said he did not know also. Never mind, so I zoomed as much as I could to take a closer-up picture and went back home.

As we passed the 'scene' on the opposite side of the road, many motorcyclist STOPPED stationary, parked there and got down to watch. Other cars went really really slow to get a glimpse of what happened. Needless to mention the super long massive jam caused by that. If you are familiar with Subang area, the queue of jam was roughly from Sunway Pyramid to SS14. Typical Malaysians rite? Gosh. Too bad there wasn't any crashed car to get the plate number for Magnum, 4D and ToTo. LOLZ!! -(Just joking k, don't take it seriously).

Back home, Teddy told me she heard some guys talking about the incident in the library. Summary of their version was something like a police shot a fella dead with a pistol, and later on more police showed up with (a) machine gun(s). I don't know to what extend is it true, but well, at least its a rough idea.

A picture speaks a thousand words

Zoom in to see the 'Forensik' word on the white mini van

.

Let me emphasize this again: I wrote this post based on what I've seen, heard, and think. We shall wait for newspapers tomorrow for the twisted facts and hidden truth.

Ok that's all for now. Bio test next week, and mum's bday tomorrow! ByeBye!

BBQ Party

Last Saturday night, my mum had a BBQ Party in our house for her friends. Apparently her friends wanted to celebrate her birthday in advance as she is always busy all the time. Well I know almost everyone that came, so over all it was a nice party.

What I'd like to talk about is the cook of the day, Mr Matthews! I tell you his 'secret recipe' to make garlic bread and marinate meat (chicken, beef, mutton, salmon) is darn good. His garlic bread was darn nice and crispy and tasty even though he claims it wasn't 100% yet coz he couldn't get some special leaf to make it nicer. And the BBQ chicken, soft+tender+tasty=OWNAGE!!

Mr. Matthews at work

Baby Jeremy stealing red wine!

Happy Birthday Mum!

Chocolate Indulgence

Thats about all for this post. Until I blog again. Tata!

Another Week Passed

I didn't realise that it has been so long since I updated my blog. And if you do read the chat box, Teddy (Sonia Fz) and Vivek's clone (whoever that is) is rushing me for updates. Tks for the reminder. And also, I've removed the polls. Tks for participating, if you even did. Lolz!!

Yesterday, 18 July, I went back to WMS for their annual concert. Last year it was "Around The World With Wesley", featuring dances from different country around the world. Personally, last year's concert was awesome. This year, they did a musical "Romeo and Juliet". I only watched the last 5minutes of the play. No photos at all of the concert.

Japanese dance from last year's concert

Sad indeed, I know. It was all TerngSheng and JiaHui's fault. JiaHui was suppose to give directions to the eating place, but as playful as he is, he forgot to tell to take the bottom road instead of going up the bridge coz he was busy "playing". And TerngSheng who was driving, missed the nearest U-turn coz he was flying at 80km/h on a road that he's never been on. Ended up making a U-turn somewhere near the parliment building. Wasted 15mins to make a detour back to Sentul to eat. If not I'd be able to watch the last 15mins instead of only 5mins. Haih.. Nevertheless it was a nice drive with friends. Oh yea, before going back to WMS, we went to TimesSquare to watch HellBoy2. I think it was okay, but 7/10 only. I'm looking forward to watch The Dark Knight (Batman).

Some random photos for all..

A poster I saw in WMS.. ~No racism~.. LOLz
And 2 idiots walking on the LRT track! I took this pic as the train passed them

Thats all for now. Until I get more pictures to update interesting posts, stay tuned!

Polls

As you can see, I've added 2 polls at the side. Pls do vote or leave a comment.

I know in terms of ranking, Melbourne is the best, but I've heard some drawbacks about it also. So pls consider all factors before voting. Tks!

Also, if you have a rough idea, or already know where you will be going next year, do leave a comment so we'll keep each other updated. The future never seemed more uncertain before.

Continue to pray hard that God will tell us what He wants us to do now, and in the future.

All-In-One Outing

Today was quite a packed for me. Morning went to StudyLink and IDP to check out Universities and certain courses that they offer. I was supposed to make up my mind today but apparently I got more confused. "Monash or UQ? BioMed or Law?" Pls do enlighten me with information on any of those if you have any. Tks.

After that I went to MidValley to meet up with old friends. The initial purpose of this outing was a 2nd farewell for Celeste who will be going back to Australia tonight. She should be in the plane now as I'm typing this post. Nevertheless it was also a belated-birthday meet-up for SzeJian, whose actual birthday was last wednesday. Happy Birthday Bro! Last but not least, to meet up with Charmaine, who is back from UK.

Once I reached, I went to look for TerngSheng to buy a present for SzeJian. We ended up buying him a shirt from EchoPark. Then we went to watch Hancock. Personally I think that movie is okok only as I find the plot a bit too draggy. After the movie, I got to know that JeckBeng was also in MV, unfortunately not with AhSou but with his mum. He joined us after movie for BigApple dounuts and chit-chat session. As usual, we'll let the pictures do the talking.

After that, Celeste had to rush home coz her flight was at night. So we rushed to the KTM station. Gosh the station was jam packed with ppl. Worst then tuna or sardin can. Celeste had to take a taxi back as she couldn't wait any longer.

A picture speaks a thousand words

.

At night, there was a small celebration dinner at my house. It was to celebrate my mum's and Uncle SooBeng's Birthday. I have photos but no point uploading. So, that sums up my day. Until more updates, stay tuned!

8 Days Update

I know I haven't been blogging much recently, and there is no other reason then laziness. Seriously,

LAZINESS KILLS !!!

Nevertheless I was a little busy with the G3 video for the Winangali Magazine. (No error, VIDEO for a MAGAZINE. I think they'll give a CD) That took up a little of my time.

Anyway, last saturday, WMS had its BSMM Gathering 2008, OCP was KoChiaChea. And I must say it was pretty good. A lot better than the BSMM Gathering back in 2006. Well, the club as to improve rite?

A few of us, ex-form5 board went back. Namely WaiShan, Mayling, WeiHan, SzeJian and myself. To be honest I kinda miss the club. Memories flowed through my mind as the gathering went on. Haha. Anyway the gathering can be summed up as this. Speech > Ice Breaker > Refreshments > Games > Prize Giving > Lunch > Home. It was nice of them to give the ex-form5s a prize also for no relevant reason. Lunch was with Weihan and SzeJian outside, wasn't included in the gathering. We'll let the pictures do the talking k?

Speech by Guest of Honour, Lee Sze Yaw

The ex-form5 BSMM board who went back. SzeJian joined later, sorry no pic of him.

.

Following up from previous post, my new maths teacher, Mr Tharam is great. What a waste that he came to Taylors so late. If he had taught us from the starting of the year, we'd all be maths pros now. Also, I'm in the SAM Coroboree (Prom) committee this year. Helping out with ticketing together with Melvin and some-other-girl-whose-name-I-forgotten. Will have to design the tickets, so anyone interested to help me out a bit, do talk to me on msn, I'll give you more information on the theme and so on.

Thats about it. Until next post. Tata

Sunway Karaoke Updates

Sorry for the late update, I wasn't feeling well after the trip, slept from Saturday 8pm till 11am the next day. And also due to Euro08 finals, I didn't sleep on Sunday night, but instead I slept the whole of monday, 4pm till this morning 6am.

Anyway, Karaoke in Sunway was fun. No much details to talk about, except this:

~Celeste de Konserto~

No exagerations. Celeste really sang like Janice Wei Lan herself. She can even sing without the lyrics. The atmosphere was like a live concert. (For those who do not know who is Janice, she is a Hong Kong singer who sings darn nice songs). And now some random pictures.

Karaoke

Robin in action

As for the rest of the trip, I don't feel like blogging about it. My comments? If its was a trip or an outing for old friends, then yes it was great. But if it was a gathering, we, the organisers, have failed with flying colours. Many complications to that, don't feel like explaining. Anyway, hope you all had fun there, and sorry for being such a lousy organiser.

You can also read TerngSheng's blog for slightly more details on the trip.

Until next time, tata!
