Olympics Opening Dinner

Note: I've been sooooo busy I seriously lack time to blog. I'll try my best to keep all you readers updated k?

As we all know, last Friday (8/8/08) night (8:08pm) was the Opening Ceremony of the 29th Aniversary Beijing Olympics. Thats hella lot of eights. Haha. Anyway, my mum had a dinner for her ING staffs in my house. I had the luxury of inviting my best-est hengdais over for dinner and also to watch the opening ceremony together. Now to the event day...

Around 4.45pm, Sheng reached my house. Since it was still early, we spent 1 whole hour trying to solve the following:

A challenge to the Laws of Geometry

We even made a model according to scale.. zzZ

After 1 whole hour, we were blank. (Later that night with Robin, we did it again and concluded that it was just an illusion. We have prove to back our conclusion k, its not just-another-kiasu-conclusion.) Then, my mum so happened to come in and asked me to clear the pingpong table in the living room. Since my maids were kinda busy, and my sister isn't strong enough, I had to ask Sheng be a temporary labour. Sorry yea! After that dinner was ready!

Catered food from I-don't-know-where.

Drinks corner. Sago Dessert and Ice-Kacang.

A screen and projector set up to view the opening ceremony. It wasn't as big as expected, but it was still okay.

Crowd starting to arrive.

Oh ya, there was the lok lok van also! Initially, I thought that only the kids will be eating. Looks like I was wrong. Us, kids, had much competition from the kids within the adults. Haha!

Later on, Robin and HannJiunn came. They had some Leo Club function in WMS. There was also a whole roast pork, but I didn't manage to take any pictures of it. Anyway, as 8pm got nearer, everyone was glued to the chair, and their eyes were set on the projector screen. I must say the front part of the opening ceremony was great. The fireworks of 29 footsteps was magnificent, not forgetting the glowing drums and the painting dancers, and coordination was just perfect.
