Sydney Day 4

Day 3 in Sydney wasn't that adventurous already. More of sight seeing. But then again, the sceneries here are just too good to be true. And the best part is, I got to take a picture with a Koala! I'm starting to get sick of the breakfast served in the executive lounge. No fail every morning scrambled egg, bacon and that same variety of cheese. Even the pastries, breads and drinks are all the same. zzZ.

After breakfast, we went to some Wild Life Park. I must say it wasn't that bad. There were wallabies (something similar to kangaroo) jumping all around. And we can touch them too! And the Koalas, omg they sleep non-stop. They curl up to look like a fur ball, and just sleep between tree branches. Quotation from the bus driver, "Koalas live for 13-15years, sleep 18-19hours a day, but only mate once a year. Not a bad life heh." Omg, 18-19hours a day, really 'dong mian guo shi jie'.

Next we went to the Blue Mountains, where there are 3 rocks which the locals call '3 Sisters'. The scenery here as usual, was darn nice. The wind was strong and it was very cold. I could hardly snap any pictures as my finger was almost numb. Anyway, the myth aspect behind the '3 Sister' is...
.
"Long long time ago, a witch-doctor was the head of a certain tribe X. He had 3 very beautiful daughters. The 3 daughters fell in love with 3 warriors from another tribe. The 3 warriors wanted to marry the 3 daughters but the law has it that inter-tribal marriage isn't allowed. So the witch-doctor strongly disagreed. Then the 3 warriors attacked tribe X to kidnap the daughters. But before they could do so, the witch-doctor turned the 3 daughters into sandrocks. One of the warrior got so pissed off that he threw his spear and it pierced through the witch-doctor's heart. And before they could ask him to turn his daughters back to normal, he died."
.
And the science aspect is..
.
"Climate and weather conditions caused the rocks to be shaped into that form."
.
I choose to believe the science one. LOLZ!!

The 3 Rocks Sisters

Some where nearby the 3 Sisters, there is the world's steepest ride. It was 52 degrees below the x-axis. And for those not-so-mathematical-minded people, 52degrees is hella steep. But it was only going at 16km/h, in other words it was very slow. Haha! Last time that ride was used to transport coal. Below the valley WAS a coal mine. Now its just another tourist attraction. We managed to visit around the mines, and went back up through another cable car. I was in the middle of the cable car, surrounded by people holding cameras. Although the scenery was nice, but the sight of "people taking pictures of sceneries" was even better. Lolz.

See what I mean?

Who still thinks 52 degrees isn't steep?

After that we went back to Sydney town, and had a big platter of seafood for dinner. Lobster, prawns, "lai liu" prawns, fish, salmon, crab, oyster, scallops and chips. Don't drool! It sounds nice but it was served cold. As in, plain steam and cold meat. Its the way Australians eat seafood. Stupid I know. Can't they cook dishes like "cheese baked lobster", "qing jing lai liu ha", "teriyaki salmon" or "salted egg yoke fried crabs"??? Sad la Australians. Anyhow it was a nice dinner.

Cold Seafood Platter

My 1st quarter glass of red wine!

And now here I am blogging. In the same executive lounge where Internet is slow free. On the other hand, ChongWei got trashed by LinDan, 21-12 and 21-8. Sad but at least a silver medal. Tks Jasmine for the smses, and Cheese for the online msn updates. 2 very reliable sources for scores. Haha.

That's all for now, tata!
